Former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan dies at 80


 The Annan family and the Foundation announce that Kofi Annan, former Secretary General of the United Nations and Nobel Peace Laureate, passed away peacefully on Saturday 18th August after a short illness with immense sadness.

            KOFI ANAN was a good Icon for generation coming to follow, an example with simplicity of how life should reign in peace, we wish to express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr Kofi Annan. His decease is a great loss for peace and freedom in the world. The world will miss him but his legacy will live on forever. HE is the first black African to rise through rank to become UN secretary-general. KOFI ANAN is a great leader , he made a huge contribution to making the world he has left a better place than the one he was born into. 

KOFI ANAN is on every top news, the whole world is talking about demise of a great man who love peace and
making sure the less privilege are being cared for. He possesses a great virtue which makes him special and he
was not only awarded NOBEL PEACE PRIZE, HE is the first black african to rise to the peak of becoming United
Nation secretary-general.The world has lost a great leader today.

Kofi initiated the Millenium Development Goals. He did everything possible to prevent the Iraq War. He was a
